We like to walk for pleasure and the enjoyment of other people’s company, and for the exercise.
We are of mixed ages, some young, some older and some very old! Our walks are researched and walked in advance to make sure they are suitable for all, checking for hazards in case there are problems for those who are less able than others. There are, of course, rules and regulations. These are prescribed by the Ramblers and are there for our safety and guidance. Our Team Leaders are all experienced walkers and most have been doing the job for many years and know their walks very well. We are always on the lookout for new leaders, who are members of the Ramblers.
We have an interesting programme of walks arranged which you can see on our List Walks Page.
We send out a Programme by post or email twice a year to members of the Ramblers who walk regularly with our group.
The objectives of the Ramblers (Registered Charity No. 1093577) include the preservation of natural beauty, protection of the footpaths and provision of access to open country.
Membership of the Crawley and North Sussex Ramblers Group is not restricted to paid up members of the Ramblers but prospective members are welcome to attend rambles before deciding to join. Ramblers Membership application forms are obtainable from the Membership Secretary.
